Two Wildcats to play in college

Seniors J.B. Miles and Luke Smith of the Hilliard Davidson High School baseball team made their college choices Feb. 5.

Miles, a third baseman, committed to play at Capital. Last season, he batted .317 with 11 RBI and seven runs.

Smith, a pitcher, signed with Ashland. Last season, he had a 5.50 ERA in 28 innings with 31 strikeouts.

The Wildcats finished 14-15 overall last spring, losing to Pickerington North 16-14 in a Division I district semifinal. They finished sixth (6-8) in the OCC-Central Division behind champion Thomas Worthington (11-3).
