Cort Hamilton will be hired to coach the Hilliard Davidson High School boys basketball team, pending school board approval April 14.
Hamilton was introduced to Davidson’s players April 10. He was an assistant with the Wildcats under Kevin Logsdon from 2002-05.
Hamilton was the coach at St. Marys Memorial in 2005-06 before spending the next eight seasons as an assistant men’s college basketball coach.
Logsdon led the Wildcats to a 127-137 record over 12 seasons before stepping down to pursue other interests and spend more time with his family.
“It’s nice to be back,” said Hamilton, who will teach a yet-to-be-determined subject at Davidson beginning next school year. “This is a great school district and I’m excited about this opportunity. Ever since I left, I’ve stayed in touch with the coaches, program and members of the community, and I’m happy to be a part of it once again.”
