The Alexandria Fire Association has announced the 59th annual Alexandria Fun Days will be held July 16-19.

The village tradition will include crowd favorites such as Little Miss Fun Days Beauty Pageant, Kids' Pedal Tractor Pull, Friday Night Tractor Pull, Fun Days Parade, rides and games by Albanese Amusements, and a host of favorite fair food.

Fun Days' attendees can also support many local organizational fundraisers while enjoying homemade pie, ice cream, pop, wings, brats, snacks and various activities.

Local groups such as Parker Community Park and the Alexandria Fire Association will conduct fundraising raffles throughout the four-day event, with drawings held on Wednesday and Saturday nights, respectively.

Fun Days' opening night on Wednesday, July 16, will showcase Little Miss Fun Days Beauty Pageant at 7 p.m. All "little misses" ages 5-7 eligible to attend Northridge schools in grades K - 2 can compete. A 50-50 raffle to benefit Parker Park will also be held Wednesday from 6 to 8:30 p.m., with a drawing to be held at 8:45 p.m. Ticket holders need not be present to win.

On Thursday, July 17, the popular Kids' Pedal Tractor Pull will be held, with registration starting at 5 p.m. and pedal pulls beginning at 6 p.m. The Pedal Pull will be followed at 7:30 p.m. with live music by "Taylor Station."

The long-standing favorite tradition, the Friday Night Tractor Pull, will be held on July 18. Weigh-ins start at 4 p.m. and pulls start at 6 p.m.

"Friday Night Karaoke" will also be presented under the big tent by Ultimate Sound starting at 7 p.m.

The annual Fun Days Parade steps off at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 19. The parade offers "Best Of" trophies in several categories.

Post-parade activities include rides by Albanese Amusement starting at 12 noon, Jersey Pullers Garden Tractor Pull at 1 p.m., live music under the big tent by "Tin Pan Alley Cats" starting at 3 p.m., and the cast of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" performing on the stage at 5:30 p.m.

Saturday evening will feature live music by "Up in the Air" starting at 8 p.m.. The annual Alexandria Fire Association Raffle will have three drawings for $100 each at 8, 9 and 10 p.m. Tickets can be purchased throughout the festival and ticket holders need not be present to win.

On Sunday morning, everyone is invited to the annual non-denominational Praise Celebration under the big tent. The community fellowship and worship service will begin at 10 a.m. Free box lunches will be provided at the end of service to all attending.

All organizational profits of Alexandria Fun Days will benefit the community by supporting project endeavors by the Alexandria Fire Association, local churches, and many local community, park, athletic or fraternal organizations.
