The Alexandria Baptist Church has organized its annual Beans and Bluegrass Music celebration for today (Oct. 26) at the church.

Music will be presented by Bud Henderson and the Gospel Echoes.

The bean supper begins at 4:30 p.m. and music kicks off at 6 p.m.

Cost for the evening is by donation only.

The next meeting of the Croton Garden Club has been scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, according to Barbara Luft, recording secretary.

The club meets the fourth Tuesday of each month. Prospective new members are invited to attend.

The Johnstown Lions Club will host its annual Halloween parade beginning at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the Monroe Township Fire Department.

Participants are asked to gather at the fire house between 6 and 6:30 p.m.. The parade will end at Adams Middle School, where costume judging will be held in the gym.

The village of Johnstown will observe Trick or Treat night on Thursday, Oct. 30, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

The Johnstown FFA Alumni is taking orders for its annual fruit sale.

This year's products include navel oranges, tangelos, red grapefruit, mixed box, eight-quart fruit baskets, Ohio Fugi apples, brittle bites, skinless peanuts, honey crunch peanuts, sweet and smokey barbecue sauce, and mildly spicy barbecue sauce.

Pre-paid orders will be accepted until Friday, Oct. 31.

The 30th annual Northridge PTO Craft Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 1 at Northridge Middle School.

A pancake breakfast will be held on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Searfoss Elementary in Johnstown.

The all-you-can-eat breakfast includes pancakes, sausage and a beverage.

Proceeds will benefit the Johnstown American Legion Post 254 in sponsoring various events for the community, such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Safety Village, Little Miss Firecracker, Fourth of July Fireworks and Toys for Tots.

The Appleton United Methodist Church will be hosting its annual fall fellowship dinner and program on Sunday, Nov. 2

The potluck dinner begins at 12:30 p.m. with the program following at 2 p.m.

Entertainment will feature the Sounds of Praise Singers and the Gleaners.

Pre-school and kindergarten dance classes by Dance Explosion will begin Wednesday, Nov. 5 at the Johnstown Recreation Center.

The class will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Cost is $2 per child and a per class fee will apply.
