The board of trustees of the Mary E. Babcock Library invites residents to a "Bring A Book" reception featuring Dennis M. Keesee and Don Jakeway from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10.

Those who wish to may bring a new or gently used book written by a recent author, or donate money for a book to be purchased.

Christmas trees can have a second life as mulch, thanks to Licking County Recycling.

Christmas trees can be dropped off at Alexandria's Fireman's Park; Johnstown Recreation Shelter House; the Compost Farm, 7795 Jersey Mill Road; Croton Municipal Garage Lot; McKean Township Garage in Fredonia; and Jersey Township, Mink Road and state Route 161. Before dropping off trees, all decorations and tree stands need to be removed.

The Licking County Health Department has ordered a one-time limited supply of FluMist vaccine. The vaccine is being offered free of charge.

FluMist vaccine is a gentle mist that is sprayed into the nose. The vaccine can only be given to healthy people ages 2-49. Pregnant women are not eligible for the vaccine.
