William Arter, secretary of the Hartford Fair Board, announced last week that the fair board voted to construct two new buildings on the fairgrounds this summer before the 101st fair gets under way in August. The two new projects will be for beef breeding cattle and a junior fair exhibit building. In addition to the building projects, another new addition to this year's fair will be a pony pulling contest. At the present time no contest of this kind is staged in this part of the state.

Two films will be shown at Johnstown's Dorsey Theatre under the auspices of the Licking County Cancer Society at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 27. One of the films is "Time and Two Women" about the American Cancer Society spearheading a drive against uterine cancer. There is no charge for admission, and a doctor will be on hand to answer questions.

The junior class of Johnstown High School will present its play "The Big Blowout" at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 23, in the high school auditorium. The cast of the three-act comedy includes Suzanne Ashbrook, Jean Harris, Patty Bisang, Charlotte Barrick, Barbara Gager, Fred Walker, Bonnie Kreuger, Sandra Clark, Nancy Angevine, Glen Osborn, Stuart Parsons, Larry Riffe, Sherm Byers and Sue Bailey. Director of the play is Bennie Howe.
