The trustees of the Johnstown Baptist-Presbyterian Church have announced the plans for the fundraising program which will be conducted next month to raise $41,000 for church improvements. A new educational building to house the larger Sunday School classes and a new front will be the main features in the renovation and expansion program.

The Johnstown vo-ag department has planted corn in area fields. Ten acres of corn were planted on the Blynn Evans farm, where several different types of fertilizer will be tested. The corn field is marked off in seven different plots where five fertilizers will be tested. Test plots are also being conducted on seed varieties.

The Johnstown parking project is under way and initial work is currently being done by Calvin Walker, who is removing stumps in the area that will become a street. Council and the Johnstown Business Association are cooperating in the project. Enough donations have been received for the 60-space parking addition.
