The Liberty Bell is special to all Americans, but for Johntown's Seth Abel, a 2003 visit to Philadelphia made such a lasting impression that he began seeking out souvenirs and other Liberty Bell memorabilia.

The Liberty Bell is special to all Americans, but for Johntown's Seth Abel, a 2003 visit to Philadelphia made such a lasting impression that he began seeking out souvenirs and other Liberty Bell memorabilia.

Today, 9 year-old Seth has more than 50 individual items in his Liberty Bell collection, part of which is on display at the Alexandria Library through July.

Seth's favorite items include a Liberty Bell clay pipe from the Liberty Bell centennial in 1876 (he also collects clay pipes) and items from the bell's sesquicentennial (150 years) in 1926.

Many of the Liberty Bell items are metal reproductions of the bell, which includes actual bells, banks, pencil sharpeners and table top displays.
