Next Monday is the day when people from this area and many other surrounding areas will be on hand for the annual Swapper's Day that's sponsored by the Johnstown Sportsman's Club. In addition to the big auction sale, there will be other contests and games going on throughout the day. A $300 guaranteed final money will be paid in the field trials.

The Licking County Tuberculosis and Health Association is once again making the arrangements so that the residents of the Johnstown area may have the opportunity to get their free chest x-rays. The x-ray bus will park in front of the Bob's Electric Shop on Thursday, Sept. 24, and will x-ray all persons 18 years of age and older. Food handlers are reminded that this is their opportunity to have their x-rays taken free of charge as required by the board of health.

Dr. Henry Claude Mellette, who has made his permanent home in Johnstown for the past 15 years, has announced plans to become an associate of Dr. Robert S. Young in the practice of medicine on Sept. 8. His brother, Rev. Peter Mellette, is a minister of the Baptist-Presbyterian and Harmony Community churches in Johnstown.
