Cost for vendors is $5 per spot. Reserved vendor spots are available to all-season vendors only. Cost for all-season vendors is $125 for all Saturdays and Wednesdays; $85 for all Saturdays and $45 for all Wednesdays. The market will expand to Wednesdays in mid-July.

An all-day market will also be held on July 10 during the Fireman's Festival, and the square will also be a stop on July 17 for the Licking County Land of Legend Bike Trail Association.

Jersey Township has been hosting regular block watch meetings for 17 months, and area residents are welcome to join, said Susan Hudak, a block watch member.

Monthly meetings include discussions about home crime prevention, personal safety and fire safety.

The 112th Johnstown-Monroe Alumni Banquet will be held Saturday, June 12, at Johnstown High School, 401 S. Oregon St.

Tickets cost $12 and include food catered by Route 62 BBQ.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with dinner starting at 6:30 p.m.

Registration is now being taken for Safety Village, which will be held at Searfoss Elementary June 7-18 for any child who will be entering kindergarten in the fall.

Classes will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Students will learn and practice all kinds of safety from fire and crossing the street to water, guns and strangers. They will also drive Big Wheels provided in a model village to practice what they learn about traffic.

Safety Village is supported by Johnstown American Legion Post 254, allowing the cost to be only $10 for all 10 days.

Johnstown American Legion Post 254 recently held its election and installation of officers for the 2010-11 term.

Re-elected were Bruce Tolle, commander; Don Jakeway, first vice commander; and Al Norman, adjutant. Newly elected as second vice commander was Jim Foster. Trustee Jim Jennings was also re-elected to a five-year term.
