The Hartford Fair Natural Resources Area advisory board will hold its annual "Locally Grown and Gathered Meal" at 6 p.m. Friday, May 3, at the Babcock Building on the fairgrounds, 14028 Fairgrounds Road, Croton.
The meal will be prepared by Chef Jessica Karr and her C-TEC culinary arts students and will feature locally grown and produced foods such as maple syrup, greens, eggs and potatoes. Other parts of the meal will be gathered, including mushrooms, dandelions and cattails.
Karr will be on hand to explain the foods being served. Recipe cards will be available.
The cost of dinner is $15 per person. Money raised will be used for programs, infrastructure and the growth of the Natural Resources Area.
