Karaline Boso, a sophomore at Johnstown Monroe High School, is a state finalist in the National American Miss pageant, to be held June 30 and July 1 at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Columbus.

Karaline, the daughter of Jeff and Alicia Boso of Centerburg, plays volleyball, basketball and softball and is active in FFA, 4-H and student council. Her grandparents are George and Wanda Hiles of Westerville and Jim and Linda Peck of Johnstown. Her brothers are Joshua and Anderson.

The winner of the state pageant will be eligible to compete in the national program, to be held in September in California.
