Road-kill deer pose hazards on Johnstown roads

Johnstown police recently responded to deer causing hazardous situations on area roadways.

Johnstown police were called to assist another unit concerning a deer in the roadway near Beech Road at 1:31 p.m. Oct. 20. The deer remains were moved into a ditch.

A deer was hit near Purdin's Drive-Thru Feeds, 11740 Johnstown-Utica Road, and posed a hazard to traffic, according to a report received at 1:09 p.m. Oct. 20.

In other Johnstown police incident reports:

* Items were reported stolen from a vehicle at 7:27 a.m. Oct. 22 in the first block of Central Station Place.

* A laptop was reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of North Main Street at 4:10 p.m. Oct. 21.

* A pizza was reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Edwards Road, according to a report received at 9:13 p.m. Oct. 17.

* Forty dollars in gasoline was reported stolen from the Duke & Duchess, 233 W. Coshocton St., at 9:06 a.m. Oct. 17. A drive-off also was reported at the station at 1:58 p.m. Oct. 16.

* Juveniles reportedly were shooting off fireworks in the first block of West Maple Street, according to a complaint filed at 6:44 p.m. Oct. 18.
