Johnstown: Thieves target items in vehicles

Johnstown police responded to many thefts from vehicles, including several items stolen from unlocked vehicles.

A purse and identification were report stolen from an unlocked car in the 200 block of South Williams Street at 1 p.m. April 20.

A theft from a vehicle was reported in the 300 block of Hillview Drive at 11:26 a.m. April 19.

Thefts from vehicles were reported in the 100 block of Valleyview Drive at 10:14 a.m. April 19.

A DVD player and cash were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of Crestview Drive at 6:49 p.m. April 19.

A resident in the first block of Anna Way reported someone stole a dual DVD player out of her car at 9:09 p.m. April. 19.

A wallet was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of Saratoga Drive at 10:31 a.m. April 18.

Items were reported stolen from a truck in the first block of East Pratt Street at 3:56 p.m. April 16.

In other Johnstown police incident reports:

* Items were thrown in the area of the dock and door at the Johnstown post office, 211 W. Coshocton St., according to a vandalism report received at 5:45 a.m. April 23.

* Four people were fighting at a residence in the first block of South Kasson Street, according to a report received at 8:11 p.m. April. 22.

* Two males were asked to fish elsewhere,after suspicious persons were reported along the bike path at East Jersey Street at 10:11 p.m. April 20. The males were fishing on village property, according to reports.

* One girl slapped another girl in the face on South Williams Street, according to a complaint filed at 8:33 p.m. April 19.

* Someone pumped gas at Marathon, 7 N. Main St., and left without paying at 7:56 p.m. April 19.

* Someone pumped gas at Kroger, 800 W. Coshocton St., and left without paying at 6:44 p.m. April 19.

* A man reportedly was making threats in the 100 block of Sunset Drive, according to a report received at 3:51 p.m. April 19.

* A female reported harassing text messages and Facebook posts at 6:18 p.m. April 18.

* A woman told police her sons were assaulting each other at a residence in the first block of East College Street at 5:23 p.m. April 18.

* Goodwill, 715 W. Coshocton St., reported someone illegally dumped trash in their trash bin at 4:35 p.m. April 17.

* A Pershing Drive resident said he was followed and harassed by a man in a dark Honda on Main and Coshocton streets at 9:25 p.m. April 16.
