Johnstown: Game system, movie collection stolen from apartment

Johnstown police recently responded to the theft of a game system and other items from local apartments

A Blu-ray movie collection and other items were reported stolen from a Briarwood Drive apartment at 3:21 p.m. Aug. 20. The resident said a neighbor informed him that two individuals were in his apartment, according to reports.

The same resident told police at 3:40 p.m. Aug. 18 that an Xbox gaming system had been stolen from the apartment.

Items were reported missing from a residence in the 100 block of Meadow Lane at 3:06 a.m. Aug. 19.

In other Johnstown police incident reports:

* A bicycle was reported stolen in the 400 block of Park Lane Drive at 2:58 p.m. Aug. 19. The resident said a rear window was open and items were missing when she arrived home.

* A Cole Drive resident reported some residents in a Leafy Dell apartment were smoking marijuana at 9:22 p.m. Aug. 17.

* Fireworks were reported in the vicinity of Eagles Nest Avenue and Autumn Leaves Way at 9:24 p.m. Aug. 16. The location wasn't within the village but the county, according to reports. The county was notified.

* Three compact discs and a rearview mirror were reported stolen after an unidentified person broke into a vehicle in the 300 block of Hillview Drive. The incident was reported at 8:10 p.m. Aug. 16.

* Drivers were reported doing burnouts with vehicles in the parking lot at Kroger, 800 W. Coshocton St., at 10:51 p.m. Aug. 20.

* Someone pumped gas at Circle K, 8 N. Main St., and left without paying at 10:27 a.m. Aug. 16.

* Cows were reported in the roadway on Jersey Street, across from Kyber Run, at 8:41 a.m. Aug. 16. The cows belong to a farm in the Licking County sheriff's jurisdiction. The owner was notified and was en route, according to reports.

* A man in a wheelchair was reported in the middle of the roadway on South Williams Street, according to a report received at 4:03 p.m. Aug. 15. The caller expressed concerns about the man's safety.

* Merchandise was reported stolen from Family Dollar, 715 W. Coshocton St., at 7:10 p.m. Aug. 14.

* A portable restroom was knocked over on West Maple Street, according to a criminal-damage report received at 7:50 a.m. Aug. 14.
