Granville resident Amanda Gail teamed with Christopher Kuhar, Paul Ryan, Philip Fell and Bram Zeier on the Centerburg Youth Shooting Sports team which won the varsity division of the Scholastic Clay Target Program Ohio Trap State Championship, held June 16 at Cardinal Center Campground in Marengo. The team hit 897 of 1,000 targets to edge runner-up SHGC Seniors (895).

The sixth-annual Circleville Dog Days 5K road race will start at 9 a.m. Aug. 2, beginning and ending at Circleville High School.
