Denison University will host the fifth annual Bluegrass Festival on Saturday, Feb. 7, in Swasey Chapel, 200 Chapel Drive.

Denison University will host the fifth annual Bluegrass Festival on Saturday, Feb. 7, in Swasey Chapel, 200 Chapel Drive.

Special guest Lonesome River Band will play at 8 p.m.

In addition to its performance, the band will conduct a bluegrass workshop at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7, in the Burke Hall rehearsal room at 240 W. Broadway.

Both the festival and the workshop are free and open to the public.

Lonesome River Band's latest release, "No Turning Back," is currently in the top 20 of Billboard's bluegrass chart, according to a university news release.

Author Andy Mozina will open Denison University's Beck Lecture Series with a reading at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, in the Barney Davis Board Room, 200 West Loop.

The event is free and open to the public.

Mozina is an associate professor of English at Kalamazoo College. He has published two books, "Joseph Conrad and the Art of Sacrifice" and "The Women Were Leaving the Men," a collection of short stories.
