Artist David Mueller of Cincinnati will lecture and demonstrate his charcoal portrait-drawing techniques from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 6 at The Works, 55 S. First St.

Mueller, an oil painter, is a graduate of the American Academy of Art in Chicago. He has created official gubernatorial portraits that hang in the Ohio state capitol. His work has been exhibited across the United States and Canada, and he has had one-man shows in the Midwest and New York.

The Works is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays from October through April. For more information, visit www.attheworks.org or call (740) 349-9277.
