Granville Village Council is accepting applications from village residents interested in serving on the village's charter-review commission.

The village charter provides for a review every 10 years by a commission of seven electors appointed by the village council. The seven residents may hold no other public office or appointment and may not be employed by the village.

The commission studies the charter and provides recommendations, such as revisions and amendments if necessary, to council. The report must be made within six months of the commission's formation. Commission members determine how often they will meet.

Those interested in applying for a seat on the commission should submit an application, a letter of interest and a resume to village clerk Mollie Prasher, 141 E. Broadway, P.O. Box 514, Granville, 43023.

The deadline for submitting an application is Wednesday, Jan. 12. CRC appointments will be made in January.
