Licking County commissioners have scheduled a meeting with paranormal investigators for 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, and 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8.

Paranormal investigators had expressed interest in researching the history of paranormal activity at the Licking County Historic Jail at 46 S. Third St. in downtown Newark. The commissioners signed resolution 63-484 on Oct. 21, 2010, authorizing paranormal investigations, which were conducted from October to December 2010.

The commissioners have scheduled the investigators to report their "paranormal findings" at the Licking County commissioners office, on the fourth floor of the Donald D. Hill County Administration Building on South Second Street in Newark.

"You may have an interest in covering one or both of these meetings," the press release stated. "Rumor has it significant findings have been uncovered. Video and sound recordings will be presented."
