Pataskala robbery suspect arrested
Licking County sheriff’s detectives have arrested a Thornville man in connection with a May 28 robbery in Pataskala.
Jason G. Tewksbary, 26, 13644 Narcissus Road, Thornville, faces charges of aggravated robbery involving a handgun, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.
At about 2:13 p.m. on May 28, deputies were called to the CVS Pharmacy at 8910 E. Broad St. in Pataskala in reference to a robbery.
Upon arrival, detectives interviewed several eyewitnesses who were able to provide suspect description and suspect vehicle information, according to the press release. The suspect allegedly entered the CVS and gave a note to a female behind the pharmacy counter, demanding Percocet and Oxycontin.
According to witnesses, the suspect had a gun in his hand.
On June 18, detectives arrested Tewksbary on an outstanding warrant. During an interview with detectives, Tewksbary admitted his involvement in the robbery, according to the press release. The case remains under investigation and is expected to be presented to the grand jury June 28.
