Commission recommends zoning change for 59 acres
The Pataskala Planning and Zoning Commission on Sept. 5 recommended approval of a zoning change request for 59 acres at the northwest corner of Mink and Broad streets.
Pataskala Planning Director Dianne Harris said the land is zoned residential and would be changed to light manufacturing.
There is no development plan or planned use for the site yet, she said.
The zoning commission approved the application with conditions, which would prevent "adult bookstores and similar uses, outdoor theaters and the like that would generate excessive noise," Harris said in an email.
Harris said no residents spoke against the application.
Pataskala City Council is expected to review the application in a public hearing within six weeks. City Council makes the final decision on all zoning change requests.
