Danny G. Hensley, 49, of Columbus was indicted for aggravated murder Nov. 2 by a Licking County grand jury for the Oct. 21 murder of 69-year-old Thomas Miller.
Licking County Prosecutor Kenneth Oswalt said the indictment includes four charges: aggravated murder, aggravated robbery, breaking and entering and having a weapon while under disability. There are two specifications as well: using a firearm and being a repeat violent offender.
Oswalt said Hensley could serve life in prison without eligibility for parole. He said he did not request the death penalty at the request of the victim's family.
Hensley was arrested on a farm at 6770 Mink Road in Pataskala. Miller was found shot to death at the farm near a barn he had used for storage
According to the Licking County Prosecutor's Office, Miller went to the property shortly after 6:30 a.m. Oct. 21 after being alerted by an alarm.
Jessie Muncy, 15, also of Columbus, was taken into custody later. It is believed he also was on the scene.
Muncy is being charged with delinquency counts of murder, aggravated robbery and breaking and entering.
A pre-trial conference has been scheduled for Nov. 7 to discuss Muncy's case, Oswalt said.
