Pataskala: Officers investigate string of burglaries

The Pataskala Division of Police investigated several burglaries at the end of March, according to recent incident reports.

A plasma television valued at $868 was stolen from a residence in the 14000 block of Havens Corners Road between 3 and 5:45 p.m. March 29.

A television, with no value given, also was stolen from a residence in the 60 block of Brooksedge Drive sometime between 8 a.m. March 27 and 12:49 a.m. March 28. The home's front door also was damaged during the burglary.

Police also said thieves took jewelry valued at $3,500 from a home in the 3700 block of Alward Road Southwest between March 4 and March 15 and a motorcycle motor and other equipment valued at $4,000 from a home in the first block of West Avenue between 9:03 p.m. and 9:25 p.m. March 30.

In other recent incident reports:

* Pataskala police investigated a threat to a juvenile at 7:03 p.m. April 1 in the first block of Village Gate Drive.

Officers arrested a 14-year-old boy for menacing, obstructing official business and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officer Greg Dearth said police smelled marijuana at the scene and discovered a drug pipe. He said the boy was uncooperative, which is why he was arrested for obstructing official business.
