Ohio State University Extension and Licking County Master Gardener Volunteers, Spring 2013 Speakers' Series, CTEC Green Thumbs, April 16. Carol Strawn Center, "Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias" Caregiver Education Class," 1 to 3 p.m. April 24 at the Newark Public Library, 101 W. Main St., Newark. Topics include the basics about Alzheimer's disease, vascular dementia, Parkinson's and Pick's disease and current treatments. The class is free for Licking County seniors ages 60 and older. The cost is $55 per couple. A childbirth educator will teach the class, focusing on ways to cope with labor, breathing exercises, postpartum care and newborn care.
