Licking County Master Gardener Volunteers, annual spring plant sale, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 4 at the corner of Hudson Avenue and Elizabeth Street in Newark.

Newark Garden Club, annual plant and bake sale, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 11 at the home of Carol Svatora, 1411 Sherwood Downs W., Newark. This is the club's major fund raising event for the year. The Newark Garden Club provides community services by planting and maintaining the gardens at the Licking County Public Library, the Sherwood Davidson House and Museum, Newark's City Hall and the Buckingham House. Heath High School Class of 1993, 20-year reunion, July 26 and 27. Childbirth Education Class, for expectant mothers, 6 to 9 p.m. May 3 and 17 in the first-floor conference rooms at Licking Memorial Hospital, 1320 W. Main St. in Newark. The cost is $55 per couple. A childbirth educator will teach the class, focusing on ways to cope with labor, breathing exercises, postpartum care and newborn care.
