Licking County: Police investigating theft from Lions Club
The Pataskala Division of Police is investigating the theft of $5,700 from the Pataskala Lions Club, 7600 Summit Road.
The money reportedly was taken in $300 increments from midnight Sept. 4, 2012, to 4 p.m. April 28, when the incident was reported. No more details were available from the report.
Rachael Mattis Bissett, secretary of the Pataskala Lions Club, said the club's board had no comment on the theft but it is planning to release a statement in the next few days.
Police said they have a suspect but no arrests have been made.
Pataskala Capt. Michael Boals said police could not comment further until the investigation is completed.

* Police arrested a 20-year-old man for carrying a concealed weapon at 12:10 a.m. April 30.
The man was reported as having a handgun and walking up and down Broad Street from 11:58 p.m. April 29 to 1:30 a.m. April 30.
He was arrested and police said they found him carrying a BB gun.
* Police arrested an 18-year-old man for assault and underage consumption at 8:58 p.m. April 30 in the first block of Broad Street.
