The Granville Art Affair & Wine Festival, set for June 7 and 8 on the Great Lawn at Bryn Du Mansion, this year will feature a VIP Food & Wine Experience Tent, with more than 40 international wines and beer paired with food samples catered by A Catered Event and Creative Cuisine Catering.
The quartet Common Thread will perform in the tent.
The Wine Festival portion of the weekend's activities is from 5 to 9 p.m. June 7 and from 4 to 8 p.m. June 8. A limited number of $50 VIP tickets may be purchased at granvilleartaffair.com and at Ross' Granville Market, Park National Bank/Granville and the Granville Inn. The VIP tent will be open from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday only.
In addition to the tent, wine and beer tasting stations will be available throughout the art exhibit, and food will be available for purchase from a variety of vendors.
More than 85 artists will display oils, watercolors, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, wood working, photography, printmaking and graphic arts pieces during the Art Affair, which will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. June 7 and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 8. Art Affair admission and activities are free.
A hands-on art activity tent will be provided by the Granville Studio of Visual Arts for artists of all ages. Live entertainment, an auto display by Putsch Racing and autographs by former Ohio State University football coach John Cooper provided by Erie Insurance also will be available.
Wine Festival ticket sales benefit the Rotary Club of Granville, whose foundation supports five scholarships, several local service projects and disaster relief worldwide. The fundraising goal this year is $20,000.
Grand Scheme Promotions LLC launched the Art Affair in 2009 at Bryn Du, and joined with Granville Rotary to present the Granville Art Affair & Wine Festival in 2010.
