Licking County: Officers crack down on teen parties at unfinished homes
The Pataskala Division of Police is investigating a report of trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia and underage offenses reported at 1:46 p.m. May 24.
Police found a 17-year-old boy, an 18-year-old woman, two 18-year-old men and a 19-year-old man in the 1700 block of Kella Avenue with beer cans, scales, a glass jar and a bag of marijuana.
Police Chief Bruce Brooks said several juveniles ran away from the scene as officers arrived.
Brooks said juveniles have been breaking into homes under construction and having parties in the unfinished homes. He could not confirm the site was a new home under construction.
No arrests have been made and Brooks said the incident still is under investigation.
In other recent incident reports from the Pataskala Division of Police:
* Police arrested a 15-year-old boy for driving under the influence and a 15-year-old boy for being an unruly juvenile and for a curfew violation at 1:59 a.m. May 27 in the first block of Oak Meadow Drive.
* Police are investigating the theft of a pistol from the Mead-Needham Museum, 300 S. Main St. The pistol was reported missing at 9 p.m. May 27 and was taken between midnight and 2 p.m. May 27.
* Police arrested a 38-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man for possession of drugs following a domestic violence call received at 6:46 a.m. May 25 in the 12000 block of East Broad Street. The two were found in possession of marijuana.
* Police are investigating two thefts from vehicles.
A car radio and CD player were reported missing from a car parked in the 100 block of Coronado Drive at 11:40 a.m. May 24 and a car stereo and wallet were reported missing from a car parked on Robert Drive at 8:15 a.m. May 24.
