Licking County: Video camera, wedding ring reported stolen in burglary

The Pataskala Division of Police is investigating a burglary reported at 9:08 a.m. July 3 in the first block of Third Avenue.

A resident reported a video recorder, a wedding band and $40 was taken from the home between 12:01 a.m. June 25 and 1:59 p.m. June 26.

In other recent incident reports from the Pataskala Division of Police:

* Police arrested a 32-year-old man for a felony case of operating a motor vehicle under the influence at 11:53 p.m. July 6 on state Route 16 at Summit Road.

Capt. Michael Boals said the charge increases from a misdemeanor to a felony if a person has had four prior convictions for the same offense.

According to Ohio Revised Code section 4511.19, "An offender who, within six years of the offense, previously has been convicted of or pleaded guilty to three or four violations of division (A) or (B) of this section or other equivalent offenses or an offender who, within 20 years of the offense, previously has been convicted of or pleaded guilty to five or more violations of that nature is guilty of a felony of the fourth degree."

* Police arrested a 23-year-old man for possession of heroin and marijuana and drug paraphernalia and arrested an 18-year-old man for possession of drugs, drug paraphernalia and drug instruments at 3:57 p.m. July 3 at Cranberry Street and Deans Way.
