Luminaries glow during Dec. 6 auto tour

Sunday November 24, 2013 8:00 PM

More than 2,000 candle luminaries will light the 2013 Auto Tour at Dawes Arboretum from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6.

Lighted trees, music, holiday festivities and a walking tour to the Learning Garden and Daweswood House will be featured during the evening. At Daweswood House, Flurry the Snowman will meet visitors on the front porch.

Visitors are invited to take the South End Auto Tour, then come to the Visitors Center for cocoa and other holiday treats.

Poinsettias may be purchased for prices ranging from $5 to $10; proceeds will help support the arboretum. Other holiday gift items also will be available at Daweswood Gifts.

The event is free. Canned food and cash donations will be accepted for the Food Pantry Network of Licking County.
