Alleged arson under investigation

The Pataskala Division of Police is investigating a potential arson reported at 5:15 p.m. Dec. 5 in the 200 block of Cedar Street.

A fire was started in a truck by a person who allegedly was playing with a lighter near gas fumes, the police report said.

No arrests have been made.

In other recent incident reports from the Pataskala Division of Police:

• Police are investigating a report that a television was stolen between 1 and 2 a.m. Dec. 4 from outside Jimmy V's Grill and Pub, 14211 E. Broad St.

• Police are investigating the theft of a car valued at $8,400 that was taken between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Dec. 3 from the Stewart Auto Group, 361 Broad St.

• Police arrested a 19-year-old man for drug abuse at 9:35 p.m. Dec. 12 at Spring and Broad streets. The man was found with vegetation, papers, a marijuana grinder and a marijuana pipe, according to the report.

• Police arrested a 19-year-old woman for drug abuse and possession of drug-abuse instruments and a 19-year-old man for driving under suspension at 11 p.m. Dec. 17 west of Broad Street at Oxford Drive.

The woman was a passenger in the vehicle during a traffic stop and was found with a bag of marijuana and a marijuana grinder, the report said.

• Police arrested a 53-year-old man for being under the influence after a traffic stop at 8:19 p.m. Dec. 18 on Refugee Road and Arbor Lane.
