The Licking County Coalition for Housing has received an anonymous challenge.
An unnamed donor is offering a dollar-for-dollar match up to $5,000 for donations received by the end of 2013. In a news release, the agency calls the offer "a strong testament to one person's belief in our efforts as a worthy investment."
The LCCH recently launched two new programs. The SSI Ohio Project is expected to help homeless disabled adults complete supplemental security income (SSI) and social security disability (SSDI) applications, which will help the applicants secure incomes that in turn will allow them to find and keep housing.
The second project, Supportive Services for Veteran Families, is designed to end homelessness for nearly 100 veterans in the community.
Donations made at lcchousing.org by Dec. 31 will be matched by the anonymous donor.
