Pataskala Police: Man inappropriately approached preteen girls

Pataskala police officers are searching for a man who allegedly asked two girls -- ages 11 and 12 -- if they wanted to watch him perform a sexual act, said Capt. Michael Boals.

The man approached the girls at 11:57 a.m. Feb. 17 on Oak Meadow Drive, according to the police report.

Boals said the man left the scene and officers could not get a good description of the man or his vehicle.

In other recent incident reports from the Pataskala Division of Police:

* A 45-year-old man was arrested for theft of prescription drugs between 8:30 and 9:26 p.m. Feb. 14 in the 300 block of East Broad Street.

* A 19-year-old man was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon and possession of marijuana at 2:13 a.m. Feb. 18 on Blacks Road at Corylus Drive.
