Pataskala: Domestic-violence incident leads to man's OVI charge

The Pataskala Division of Police arrested an 18-year-old man for domestic violence, unlawful restraint and driving under the influence at 10:30 p.m. March 5.

A neighbor reported the domestic dispute at 10:07 p.m. in the 300 block of Township Road.

Sgt. Andy Waugh said the man fled the scene in a vehicle. He was apprehended on Mink Road near Prince Road, according to the police division's traffic-stop log.

The domestic-violence charges and unlawful restraint occurred at the Township Road residence. The victim was an 18-year-old woman, according to the police report.

* Police are investigating a criminal-damaging incident that occurred between 1 a.m. Nov. 1 and 4 p.m. Nov. 29 at a vacant home in the 12000 block of Cleveland Street.

A water heater, copper pipes and doors valued at $6,500 were damaged, according to the police report, which was filed March 5.
