Licking County: Stop leads to drug, weapons charges

The Pataskala Division of Police arrested a 22-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman on drug and weapons charges following a traffic stop at 12:22 a.m. April 19 on Dixon Road at Havens Corners Road.

Officers found prescription drugs, a handgun, ammunition magazines, a cellophane wrapper containing a white substance and a mesh container with glass pipes, according to the police report.

The woman, Samantha Hamilton, of 54 Meadow Drive, was charged with a felony count of carrying concealed weapons, a felony count of possession of drugs and a misdemeanor count of illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the report.

The man, Joshua Dunkle of 166 Harrison St., was arrested on a felony charge of carrying concealed weapons, the report said.

The two were stopped on a potential driving under suspension charge, the report said.

In other recent incident reports from the Pataskala Division of Police:

* Police are investigating the theft of prescription medication between noon April 15 and 1 p.m. April 17 from a home in the 200 block of Shaleridge Drive. The medication was reported missing at 2:19 p.m. April 17.

* Police cited two different people for assault April 20 and 21 on Coronado Drive.

Police cited a 25-year-old woman for assault and resisting arrest at 10 p.m. April 20 in the 100 block of Coronado Drive, following an altercation with a 33-year-old woman, who was uninjured, the police report said.

Police cited a 21-year-old man for assault and a 24-year-old woman for disorderly conduct at 10:56 p.m. April 21 in the 100 block of Coronado Drive, the police report said.

* Police are investigating the theft of $350 and credit cards between 8 a.m. April 14 and 10 p.m. April 16 from a yard in the 13000 block of East Broad Street.
