Pataskala: Officers investigate incidents at schools

Pataskala Division of Police officers are investigating two incidents that occurred last week in the Licking Heights school district.

Police cited a 14-year-old boy for disorderly conduct and menacing at 2:32 p.m. April 30 at Licking Heights High School, 4000 Mink St.

A teacher, who tried to break up a fight between two students, was threatened by the boy, according to the police report.

The other incident occurred at Licking Heights Central Middle School, 6565 Summit Road.

A smartphone and headphones valued at $790 were reported missing. The items were taken between 1 and 2 p.m. April 30, the police report said.

In other recent incident reports from the Pataskala Division of Police:

* Police are investigating the theft of a refrigerator, valued at $598, taken between midnight April 30 and 10:45 a.m. May 1 from an apartment in the 100 block of Poff Drive.

* Police are investigating a counterfeit $20 bill used at 8:46 p.m. May 1 at a business in the first block of Broad Street.
