Hopewell Federal Credit Union, fourth annual car show, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 19 at 1690 N. 21st in Newark. All proceeds will benefit the Licking County Humane Society and its no-kill shelter in Heath. Participants can register a car for $10 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Awards will be presented at 1:45 p.m. Registrants must be present to win. All years are welcome. Pataskala Farmers Market, 4 to 7 p.m. Fridays through Sept. 19 at the Veterans Green in downtown Pataskala. Vendors offer items such as meats, cheeses, produce, prepared foods, crafts and flowers. Johnstown Area Seniors, meeting and program, 10 a.m. July 14 at Church of the Ascension, 555 S. Main St., Johnstown. This is a nondenominational group for those 55 years of age or older. A social gathering with coffee starts the day, with a meeting at 10:30 a.m., a program at 11 a.m. and lunch at 11:30 a.m. A $5 one-time admission fee is charged and a $5 fee for each meeting that includes lunch. Ohio Diversity Officers Collaboration, sixth annual diversity conference, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 25 on the shared campus of the Ohio State University at Newark and Central Ohio Technical College. The conference, “New Diversity Challenges and Solutions,” will provide professionals at institutions of higher education with cutting-edge speakers and best practices presentations. The conference cost, which includes the annual membership fee, is $25. A reception will be held at the conference hotel, the Cherry Valley Lodge, 229 Cherry Valley Road SE, Newark, at 6 p.m. the evening prior to the event. Heart of Ohio Tole Chapter, painting class, July 19 at the Northeast Conference Center, 4140 Executive Parkway, Westerville. Childbirth education class, for expectant mothers in their 30th to 36th weeks of pregnancy, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 26 at Licking Memorial Hospital. A childbirth educator will teach the class, focusing on the anatomy of pregnancy, ways to cope with labor, breathing exercises, postpartum care and newborn care.
