MARION, Ohio — Four people charged in connection with the killing of a 61-year-old Marion man last month pleaded not guilty yesterday.
Marion County Prosecutor Brent Yager said additional charges could be coming in the death of Allan Brown, who was found in his home on E. Church Street in Marion about 9:15 p.m. on Oct. 30.
Brown’s 14-year-old stepdaughter, Ashley Smith, also has been charged in connection with his death.
Yesterday, Marion residents Taylor Sherman and Justin Miller, both 19, each pleaded not guilty via video feed from the Marion County jail to two counts of aggravated murder, two counts of aggravated burglary and one count of tampering with evidence.
Miller also pleaded not guilty to 10 counts of unlawful sexual contact with a minor.
Amanda Brockman, 18, of Marion, pleaded not guilty to one count of complicity to commit murder. Grant Blackwell, 19, is charged with obstructing justice. Sherman, Miller and Brockman are in the Marion County jail. Blackwell is out on bond.
Smith, who is charged with a delinquency count of complicity to commit murder, is being held at the juvenile detention center.
