The staff of ThisWeek Marysville was recently honored with two awards from the Ohio Newspaper Association during the annual ONA Convention Feb. 12-13.

The staff of ThisWeek Marysville was recently honored with two awards from the Ohio Newspaper Association during the annual ONA Convention Feb. 12-13.

The awards were presented during the Osman C. Hooper Newspaper Show, which recognizes the state's top editors, writers, photographers and designers.

ThisWeek Marysville won a first-place award for Ann Tormet's photo essay, "A Day in Marys-ville."

ThisWeek Marysville Community Editor Jeff Donahue and staff writers Jim Fischer and Chris Alexis teamed up to win a third-place award for in-depth reporting for their series of articles on $4-a-gallon gasoline.

ThisWeekNews.com also won first place for Best Group-Owned Weekly Newspaper Web Site for the second year in a row.

Overall, ThisWeek Community Newspapers won 20 awards in the annual competition.
