The new Union County Agriculture Association will hold its quarterly meeting on June 8.

The guest speaker will be David Coho, vice president of sales and marketing of AlgaeVenture Systems.

AlgaeVenture Systems was established by Univenture to address the growth of algae in industrial and agricultural areas in Ohio and other areas of the Midwest that demonstrated opportunities for algae farms to be located near existing waste and waste sources, according to information provided by the Union County Chamber of Commerce.

The association was formed "To ensure and enhance agricultural economic development and activity through communication, education and promotion to consumers, agribusinesses and public entities," according to the UCAA's mission statement.

The quarterly meeting is set for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 8 at the Union Rural Electric Building, 15461 U.S. Route 36, Marysville. RSVPs for the meeting can be made by calling (937) 642-6279.
