ThisWeek Marysville staff members were honored June 18 with two major awards at the Press Club of Cleveland's annual Ohio Excellence in Journalism Awards.

Community editor Jeff Donahue and former staff writer Cathy Wogan won first place in the Public Service category for coverage of the Union County egg farm controversy, including a story by Donahue on the impact of a proposed egg farm on a horse therapy farm for children with autism.

ThisWeek Marysville staff writers Linsly Rice and Jim Fischer also won first place in the Community/Local Coverage category for their year-end special report on the economy in Union County: "Weathering the Economic Storm."

The awards were among 16 Ohio Excellence in Journalism Awards presented to ThisWeek staff members during the awards dinner at the Marriott at Key Center in downtown Cleveland. Other award winners included:
