The Mill Valley Neighborhood Watch and the Marysville Public Library are partnering to present a children's art contest in support of America's Night Out Against Crime and Drugs.

The contest is for children going into kindergarten through fifth grade, and will be judged in three age groups: K-1st grade, 2nd-3rd grade and 4th-5th grade. The artwork should be done on 8.5x11" paper, and mediums can include pencils, markers, crayons, pastels and watercolors. The artwork should depict the theme of "Marys-ville Against Crime and Drugs," and must include the child's name, age and phone number.

Artwork must be turned in at the Marysville Public Library, 231 S. Plum St. by Monday, Aug. 2. Winners will be announced at the Mill Valley Neighborhood Watch Flashlight Walk event, which begins at 9:45 p.m. Aug. 3 at the Mill Valley Shopping Center.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three winners in each age group, and the artwork will be displayed at the library in August.
