A Marysville woman was killed in a one-vehicle car crash on U.S. route 33 last week.

According to the Marysville Division of Police, the crash occurred at about 10:48 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26. Sabrina A. Schwartz, 40, of 249 Longwood Place, Marysville, was driving her 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier eastbound on U.S. route 33 when it went off the left side of the roadway, striking a bridge support to Scottslawn Road.

The car rolled over, coming to a rest in the median, with the driver being ejected during the crash, according to police reports. Schwartz was transported to Memorial Hospital of Union County by Jerome Township medics, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and Schwartz was the only occupant, according to police reports.

The crash was still under investigation by the Marysville police at presstime. Troopers from the Marysville post of the Ohio State Patrol assisted at the scene.
