Families of children about to enter kindergarten are invited to attend a free Early Childhood Fair in a few weeks.

The Early Childhood Fair is set for 10 a.m.-noon on Nov. 13, at the Union County Services Building, 940 London Ave. The fair is focused on helping young children to prepare for school. It will include representatives from area libraries, preschools, child care centers, social service agencies and public school districts who will provide information and ideas to prepare children for school, according to Council for Union County Families director Brenda Rock.

The event is for all Union County families with children age five and under, and will include free developmental, vision and hearing screenings, as well as snacks and door prizes. The event is free and open to the public.
