A public hearing for the proposed Hi-Q Egg Farm is still scheduled for Dec. 14, but the time of the meeting has been tentatively moved back from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Ohio Department of Agriculture public information officer Kaleigh Frazier said on Nov. 17 that the time of the hearing has been changed, but will occur at ODA headquarters, 8995 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg.

The hearing was requested by Hi-Q officials after ODA director Robert Boggs' letter in August stating the agency's intent to deny two permit requests filed by Hi-Q to construct a farm in northwestern Union County. Boggs cited the company's failure to furnish all needed paperwork for the requests.
