New York Giants linebacker Chase Blackburn and Giants scout Steve Devine, both Marysville natives, will be given a hometown tribute during a parade at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 29.

Blackburn also played for the Giants during their Super Bowl championship in 2007.
Devine graduated from MHS in 1968 and has been with the Giants for many years. Like Blackburn, he also has two Super Bowl championship rings.
The county-wide celebration named "Cheers for Champs" is being coordinated by the City of Marysville special events coordinator Amanda Morris and local businessman Scott Underwood.
The parade will begin at the Union County Office Building on Sixth Street. It will then head to Main Street, proceed north on Main to Third, head west on Third to Court Street and end on the east steps of the Union County Courthouse. At the conclusion of the parade, Marysville Mayor John Gore and the Union County Commissioners will make a special presentation to Blackburn and Devine.
