The Union County Farmers Market is gearing up for its 28th season.
It will reopen in the city parking lot at Plum and Sixth Street in Marysville on May 11, beginning at 8 a.m. The market will be held in the lot throughout the season even as the lot undergoes renovations.
The market continues every Saturday through Oct. 19.
Customers will find seasonal homegrown fruits and vegetables of all kinds, along with baked goods, honey, jams and jellies, plants and herbs, eggs, cheese and frozen meats.
The 2013 Opening Day will include the Master Gardeners Plant Sale alongside the many offerings of the Farmers Market.
The market also will hold its Sixth Farmers Market Community Festival Aug. 11.
A new midweek market will be held at Northwood Elementary in July and August on Wednesdays from 4 to 7 p.m.
