Joseph Jude named Worthington Hills principal

Joseph Jude, currently an elementary principal in the Marysville school district, will be the new principal at Worthington Hills Elementary School.

He was hired by the Worthington Board of Education on May 20 to replace Tamu Lucero, who will become the new assistant superintendent of elementary schools in Stamford, Conn.

Jude's salary will be $93,750, plus he'll receive another roughly 16 percent in benefits, according to district public-information officer Vicki Gnezda.

He has been principal at Edgewood Elementary School in Marysville since August 2012.

Before that, he was principal at Big Walnut's Hylen Souders Elementary School for three years.

He also was principal at Stile Elementary School in South Western City Schools from July 2006 to June 2009 and was assistant principal at North Union Elementary School in the North Union school district from August 2004 to June 2006.

Jude has a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education from Marietta College and a master's in educational administration from Ashland University.
