* A 38-year-old Columbus woman was arrested for theft at 3:36 p.m. Nov. 13 at a business on West Fifth Street.

* A 24-year-old Richwood man was arrested and charged with theft from a business on Coleman's Crossing Boulevard at 1:02 p.m. Nov. 17.

* A 23-year-old Marysville woman was charged with driving under suspension at 8:35 p.m. Nov. 16 during a traffic stop on state Route 31 at Quail Hollow Drive.

* At 8:16 p.m. Nov. 17, a 59-year-old Marysville woman was arrested and charged with assault following a confrontation with a resident on Amrine Mill Road.

Union County Sheriff's Office

* A 40-year-old Plain City man was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead at 12:06 p.m. Nov. 13 on state Route 161 near Eiterman Road after a chain-reaction accident involving three vehicles.

According to sheriff's reports, the 2009 GMC Yukon he was driving struck the back of a 2005 Cadillac SRX, which in turn hit a 2004 Chevrolet van.

* Employees of a business in the 7500 block of Montgomery Drive reported at 10:44 a.m. Nov. 18 that a concrete saw valued at $2,700 had been stolen from a work trailer.

* A resident in the14000 block of Boundary Road came home at 1:24 p.m. Nov. 14 to find an unknown man leaving her house. Deputies stopped a suspect vehicle and the driver, a 29-year-old Mansfield man, was arrested for aggravated burglary and theft.

* A resident in the 22000 block of Middleburg Plain City Road reported at 3:19 p.m. Nov. 15 that several rings and other jewelry had been stolen.

* A resident in the 26000 block of state Route 4 reported at 5:32 p.m. Nov. 16 that two burglaries that occurred on two separate dates. Items stolen include a wallet, a flashlight and a camcorder.

* A resident in the 23000 block of Sandusky Road reported the theft of a laptop computer and case at 8:12 p.m. Nov. 17.

* A 2008 Honda CRV was struck from behind by a 2002 Jeep Liberty at 6 p.m. Nov. 13 in the 25000 block of state Route 31. A 54-year-old New Bloomington man was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.

* A 27-year-old Marysville woman was cited for failure to control at 6:22 p.m. Nov. 17 on Raymond Road near Cotton Slash Road after she lost control of her vehicle, which hit a utility pole.

* A 17-year-old driver was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead at 6:14 p.m. Nov. 14 after the vehicle he was driving hit another vehicle on Corporate Boulevard near Industrial Parkway.

* Vehicles hit deer in three separate incidents last week. One occurred at 4:44 a.m. Nov. 16 on U.S. Route 33 near U.S. Route 42; another happened at 5:27 p.m. Nov. 16 in the 20000 block of state Route 4; and the third accident occurred at 9:22 p.m. Nov. 18 on U.S. Route 33 near Paver Barnes Road.
